Cannabis strains can be Indica, Sativa or Hybrid (a mix of both). Each strain type has different effects, and depending on time of day or your reason for use these are very important to consider.

Indica

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”62516″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]

Indicas have been known to assist with relief of pain, anxiety, PTSD, appetite stimulation and insomnia. One easy way to remember the effects of Indica is to remember “in da couch,” as that will likely be the result of consuming it. Indica strains generally have a relaxing sedative effect and are best suited for night time use.

Indica flowers usually have a short, stubby or fat bud structure and earthy, natural flavors such as pine, berry, earth, or gas.

Hybrid

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”158755″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]

There are also Hybrid strains which are a mix of Indica and Sativa strains, but usually lean more towards one type of high over another. For example a sativa-dominant hybrid might make you energized at first with a sedative after-effect.

Hybrid flowers usually combine the bud structure of the two parent strains and can result in a variety of shapes and sizes with infinite flavor possibilities.

Sativa

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”127142″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center” onclick=”zoom”][vc_column_text]

Sativas are energetic and uplifting with creative highs and bright moods, best used during the day or when you need that extra kick of inspiration. Sativas have been described as ‘social lubricant’ as it produces the entourage effect when smoked in a group and can help boost the mood in the room. Research has shown that Sativas can also add to anxiety heavily so please keep this in mind when looking for your next flower to smoke.

Sativa flowers usually have a tall, thin or lanky bud structure and citrusy sweet flavors.

There are many properties to cannabis and modern science has explained the plant in significant detail to us, but the main components are THC and CBD.

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/2″][vc_column_text]

THC (Tetrahydrocannabinol)

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”21639″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

THC, or Tetrahydrocannabinol, is the chemical responsible for marijuana’s psychoactive or euphoric effects. There are THC receptors in your brain that attract THC and CBD, our body even produces a chemical compound much like it. THC is used for many things among which are pain relief and as a sleep aid, when using THC you will feel a psychoactive or euphoric high so consider this when choosing it as your option.

Most of our products contain THC.

CBD (Cannabidiol)

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”159010″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

CBD, or Cannabidiol, is a cannabis compound that has little to no euphoria when used. CBD is known to be used as a substitute for many medications because of this, it is also great for those who suffer from anxiety. Because of CBD and THC’s relationship in the human body it is often advised to use a mix of the two for maximum efficiency.

CBD products can also contain THC, so please check the product description before purchasing.

There are many ways to dose Cannabis, finding what works best for you can be difficult. Here are the most common ways of getting Cannabis into your system;

[/vc_column_text][/vc_column][/vc_row][vc_row][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Smoking

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”74857″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]You can smoke flowers or concentrates by burning the product and inhaling the smoke. There are many ways to smoke but the most common are in joints or bongs, bongs and water pipes use water to cool the smoke so that it doesn’t burn your throat as much. Joints are hand rolled ‘cigarettes ‘ of flower, you could learn how to roll or purchase pre-rolled joints for convenience.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Explore our Pre-Rolls Selections.” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fcannabismo.org%2Fproducts%2Fflowers%2Fpre-rolls%2F|||” el_class=”selection-button”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Vaping

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”74882″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]Vaping is when you use indirect heat to vaporize the THC in the flower or concentrate and inhale the vapor, there is no smoke which makes vaping better for your lungs. There are different kinds of vapes for flower and concentrate, currently we sell flower & concentrate vapes.[/vc_column_text][vc_btn title=”Explore our Vaping Selections.” align=”center” link=”url:https%3A%2F%2Fcannabismo.org%2Fproducts%2Fconcentrates%2Fvapes%2F” el_class=”selection-button”][/vc_column][vc_column width=”1/3″][vc_column_text]

Edibles

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”124446″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

Cannabis edibles are simply foods that have THC or CBD in them. The most common edibles are baked goods or candies, but cooking with infused oils is also an option.

Pre-made edibles provide many advantages; you are able to monitor the dosage quite easily as they contain consistent and labeled amounts of THC and CBD, along with the benefits of not smoking.

Tinctures

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”59436″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

Tinctures fall under edibles as a sub-category as they are dosed ‘sublingually’ or under the tongue, which is the fastest method of dosing available. These products can range from high dose to micro-dose to suit many various needs. There are different kinds of tinctures available; grain alcohol based and oil based. Oil based tinctures use olive, hemp or coconut (MCT) carrier oils to help the THC or CBD process easier.

Topical

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”158444″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

Topicals are products that are applied to the skin like creams, salves, balms, massage oils and even infused lubricant! Using Cannabis in a topical form will not cause the same high effects that you would get from eating an edible or smoking some flower, the THC or CBD will enter your blood stream through the skin and help relieve pain or the symptoms of skin issues such as eczema.

Dabbing

[/vc_column_text][vc_single_image image=”53330″ img_size=”full” alignment=”center”][vc_column_text]

Dabbing is generally done by more experienced Cannaisseurs as the potency of concentrates is quite a bit higher than regular flower. To dab you can use a traditional dab rig with a quartz banger/ bucket or a titanium nail which you heat using a torch to the right temp range and melt the concentrate on the nail, or you could use a vaporizer like the Yocan Evolve pen for a much faster and more convenient way to dab.
